You can create and manage procedure quotes for patients using Nopali. Press the Patient Quote item in the toolbar to see this view:

The Patient Quote view is populated with three main tables and several buttons:

The top table shows a list of quotes. If you select a quote from the list on the top table, the bottm tables will show the details of the quote. Press the 'New Quote' button to start creating a new one. A sheet will come down with fields to fill out:

A quote requires several pieces of information. The obligatory fields are marked with an asterix (*). Most of the fields are self-explanatory. The Diagnosis and Intervention fields MUST have entries that appear on your Diagnosis and Intervention tables. If you want to create a quote with a new diagnosis (or intervention), then you can press the round button next to the respective field to see the corresponding table and enter the new value:

You can also double-click on the diagnosis/intervention table to populate the corresponding quote field.
Another convenience method in the New Quote Sheet is access to the Price List. Once enough fields have been completed (ie doctor and intervention), the '$' button to the right of the intervention field may become enabled:

Nopali will check if a corresponding entry is found in the Price List and enable the button if one is found. Pressing the button will copy the Price List data into the Charges Table:

You are not obliged to use the Price List button. Nor are you obliged to keep the values transferred from the Price List. To modify values in the table, just single-click on a cell in the table. To add another row to the table, press the '+' button at the top right corner of the table:

You can also add multiple procedures to a quote by pressing the round '+' button to the right of the table:

Once you are satisfied with the values for the quote, press the 'Accept' button at the lower end of the sheet. Note that this button will only light up if all the values in the quote check out for consistency.
Once a quote is created, you can select it from the top table in the Patient Quote view and press 'Generate Quote'. If the quote is printed, a pdf copy of the printout will be kept in the database. This is indicated by the paper icon in the 'printed' column of the table:

Pressing on the 'paper' icon in the column will show you the saved pdf file of the original printout.
A quote may be rendered 'inactive' by toggling the checkbox in the status column:

An inactive quote is not used in any statistics in Nopali (see Office Quote for more info here ). Of course, you can also delete a quote by selecting it and pressing the 'delete' key on your keyboard.
A quote may be booked in the scheduler by pressing the 'Schedule Appointment' button found near the center of the Patient Quote view. Nopali will add up the duration values in the quote and perform a search in the scheduler for you. Once booked, the quote table will show the associated booking for the procedure:

You can keep track of payments accepted for a quote by pressing 'Make Deposit'. Nopali will keep track of which billing entries are associated with a quote and summarize the total deposits in the top table:

Ideally, the quote should be paid in full before the scheduled procedure. You can check the 'balance' column to see if there are any outstanding amounts.
Note that you have not entered any charges in the Patient Billing view yet. Charges should only be applied after a service has been rendered. This is done in the section below.
Charges should only be entered into the Patient Billing view of Nopali only AFTER a service has been rendered. As a convenience method, you can transfer quote data to Patient History and Billing by selecting a quote from the top table and pressing the 'Make History/Billing Entry' button at the bottom of the window:

Pressing this button will take the quote data and populate the New History Entry panel. You should refer to the Patient History section of the help system to get further information on this, found here.
If you make a mistake in the transfer, you can always reverse the transfer to History/Billing by selecting the 'Data>Reverse Quote History/Billing Transfer' menu item at the top of the screen.
